Looking ahead to 2009 The current year is rushing by and I'm already planning a programme of workshops for 2009. At the moment I have dates for two weekend workshops, the first being the ever popular Springtime Sketchbook. An opportunity to paint and sketch at least some of the time outdoors, or explore techniques such as pen and wash in the comfort and warmth of the studio should be weather be less than kind. The dates for Springtime Sketchbook will be Saturday and Sunday 18th and 19th April 2009, and I have held the the cost for the third year running to £95 per person. This workshop is usually over-booked with a waiting list, so early booking will guarantee you a place. My contact page has all the details of how to get in touch with me. The venue for this workshop has previously been the Carter Gallery at Great Bircham, but that may change in 2009. However, the event will certainly be based in the West Norfolk area. More details later. Further on in the year, I will be repeating the highly successful Coastal Sketchbook workshop at Burnham Overy Staithe. You can read more information about the workshop here, and the dates will be Saturday and Sunday the 27th and 28th June 2009. Again, early booking is advised as there will be a maximum of ten participants. New Look To The Gallery It's a new year and a new look to the Gallery section of the site. There are new categories of paintings, and there is now more information displayed about each work. Hopefully, the re-design will cure some previous problems encountered by browsers other than Internet Explorer, or by those using Macintosh computers. If you find any problems with the gallery, or indeed any part of my site, please let me know. I've uploaded some of my latest paintings to the gallery, plus some of my other favourites. I do hope you enjoy them. I will shortly be further expanding the gallery including some of my pen and wash works and charcoal drawings, so please call back soon.
